I Was Exhausted From My 9-5

I couldn't get myself out of bed many mornings.

I couldn't get myself to sleep some nights.

That was my reality for far too many days.

I am not here to complain about traditional 9-5 employment.

You can find meaning anywhere if you just shift your perspective.

Personally, I was not able to.

I took the decision to design a life where I can enjoy 60 hour weeks so that I don't have to hyperventilate through 40 hour weeks.

We're living in a world where people are feeling disillusioned with modern life.

Too many distractions.

People living perfect lives on their black mirrors.

Starting off their days on the go and holding that as a badge of honor.

- No time for a quiet moment.

- No time to enjoy their morning tea or coffee.

- No time to savor the people and conversations.

- No time for prioritizing their physical and mental health.

No time for anything other than that hamster wheel that promised to give us everything we were hoping for.

The sad reality for most?

- Anxious

- Depressed

- Overwhelmed

- Mentally burdened

- Physically suboptimal

- No will for anything really

I am here to tell you that there's hope.

There's hope to find meaning and joy.

And it starts with small steps.

It starts with 5-10 minutes in the day. Yes, it is that simple.

Why invest in yourself?

So that the person in the mirror says "It's worth living!"

So those relying on you can get a better version of yourself?

So you can make time for what is truly important in life.

Meaning of life is what you make it - and I hope you think about brighter sides to life.

The only question is - are you willing to prioritize yourself, for once?
